The Madara Rider is a unique 8th-century, early medieval rock relief carved 23 meters up a 100-meter-high cliff near Madara, Bulgaria. It depicts a life-sized horseman spearing a lion, accompanied by a dog, symbolizing triumph. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, it is a key symbol of Bulgarian history and culture.
