Job Description: Package Handler (Holiday Seasonal)
Overview: We are seeking reliable, physically fit Package Handlers to manage the high volume of shipments during the peak adult holiday season. This role focuses on the efficient sorting, loading, and unloading of seasonal gifts, luxury goods, and corporate holiday parcels in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Sorting & Routing: Quickly and accurately sort packages based on destination codes to ensure holiday deadlines are met.
  • Loading/Unloading: Move packages from delivery vehicles to conveyor belts and into outbound trailers with speed and care.
  • Quality Control: Inspect parcels for damage and ensure that high-value or fragile holiday items are handled according to special instructions.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and the safe operation of scanning equipment or pallet jacks.
  • Organization: Maintain a clean and organized workspace to prevent bottlenecks during peak shipping hours.
 

 
Salary Expectation
The average pay for a seasonal Package Handler is approximately $18.25 per hour.
  • Base Range: $16.00 – $22.00 per hour.
  • Peak Incentives: Many companies offer "peak pay" increases of $2.00 – $5.00 extra per hour during the weeks leading up to the holidays.
  • Overtime: Significant opportunities for time-and-a-half pay exist due to extended holiday shifts and weekend requirements.
