Zaranj Airport (ZAJ/OAZJ) was a public airport in Zaranj, Nimruz Province, Afghanistan, with a gravel runway, but it is now replaced by the newer Nimruz Airport east of the city, making the old one largely defunct for regular use as of around 2020 due to safety concerns and upgrade plans. It was built in 1969 and served as the local aviation hub, but the new facility offers better safety with its construction starting in 2011, though it's important to note Zaranj Airport itself is mostly historical now, with Nimruz Airport taking over.
