Phobjikha

A stunning glacial valley and a vital conservation area for the rare black-necked cranes that migrate from Tibet every winter.

Bumthang Valley

Often called the "spiritual heartland," it is home to some of the nation's oldest temples, such as Jambay Lhakhang, and is famous for its apple orchards and "Swiss" cheese.
