Derby Curtin AFB (RAAF Base Curtin) is a joint military airbase and civilian airport near Derby, Western Australia, one of Australia's strategic "bare bases" used for RAAF operations in Northern Australia, maintained by a small staff, and activated for large exercises, supporting surveillance, training, and defence. Opened in 1988, it has a long asphalt runway (3049m) and serves both military needs and limited civil flights, often to Perth.
