The Gardens of Babur (Bagh-e Babur) is not an ancient citadel, but a historic Persian-style garden and the final resting place of the first Mughal emperor, Babur, located in Kabul, Afghanistan. It is a terraced garden known for its significant cultural and historical importance, as well as its serene beauty.
The garden was established around 1528 AD by Emperor Babur, who detailed his love for the site in his memoirs, the Baburnama. It was originally designed as a "pleasure garden" or recreation spot, but per his wishes, it became his tomb garden and the first imperial Mughal mausoleum.
